Thanks to everyone who came to our recent AGM on the 13th September. There are some changes in committee members to report, as well as our plans for the coming year.
First, thanks to Joy Squires for 10 years as Chair of the WCG, who has stepped down from this role. Thanks also to Graham Fowler who has stepped down as Vice-Chair and secretary. They will both still be involved in the group but are handing over responsibilities to others.
Second, thank you to Karen Lewing and Alex Mace for agreeing to co-chair the group. Thanks also to webmaster Matthew Jenkins for taking on the secretary role, and for George Squires continuing as Treasurer.
You can read the full minutes of the AGM here. Some upcoming projects include adding swift boxes to houses, tree planting, more murals and other art along the canal. We also want to get more people involved in the group, so please spread the word.
The date of our next meeting is the 6th December, at 7pm. We haven’t confirmed a venue yet but upstairs in The Dragon pub is a possibility.
