The co-chairs of Worcester Canal Group, Karen Lewing and Alex Mace, joined litter pick organiser, Matthew Jenkins, and over a dozen volunteers to litter pick along the canal and around the Arboretum on Saturday.
Together, our #LitterHeroes have given our public spaces a Great British Spring Clean.
The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign. The Great British Spring Clean and Great Big School Clean 2024 took place from 15 – 31 March. This year, our army of amazing #LitterHeroes pledged to pick more than 400,000 bags of litter. Together, we cleaned up the places and spaces we love, as Keep Britain Tidy celebrated its landmark 70th year of protecting the environment. See www.keepbritaintidy.org for more information.
